Karazhan is a ten man raid instance; it is the easiest raid instance in Burning Crusade.

Recommended group composition:

• 2 tanks
• 3 healers
• 2-3 melee DPS
• 2-3 ranged DPS

More than 2 melee DPS will slow your DPS on Curator and the Prince, but not unacceptably. With more than 2-3 melee dps, you have to adjust your strategies a bit. For Curator, it may make sense to have the raid clump near him so the melee don't have to run as much. This will increase spell pushback on casters, but also increase the melee dps. Chances are you have few dps casters if you have 4+ melee.

Multiple melee noticeably speed up Aran, Illhoof, and Maiden. On Maiden, if your healers are not T5 geared, you may find that the melee healing load is difficult to manage.

You can cut down on healers and tanks given T5 level gear.

Specifically important roles:

• Priest, for shackling undead
• Someone capable of removing magic debuffs (many fights)
• Someone capable of removing poisons (few fights)
• Someone capable of decursing (some fights)
• Warlock, for certain boss fights
• 3+ quick-cooldown interrupts (i.e., not mages)
